Yes — the medical tests are identical. Both the standard and VIP medical services include the same blood test panel (screening for HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and tuberculosis) and a chest X-ray. The difference with the VIP service is priority appointment scheduling, shorter waiting time at the centre, same-day results, and the convenience of completing your Emirates ID typing in the same visit. The resulting medical fitness certificate is the same official document accepted by GDRFA for visa processing.
After your Emirates ID application is submitted and biometrics captured, the physical Emirates ID card typically takes 3–7 working days to be printed and delivered to your registered address or made available at an approved post office or typing centre. You will receive an SMS notification from ICP when your card is ready. In the meantime, your Emirates ID number is available immediately after biometrics — many banks, insurance providers, and government portals accept the number even before the physical card arrives.
If your initial result requires further investigation, you will be referred to a government hospital for a confirmatory test. This is a standard procedure and does not automatically mean your visa application will be rejected.
